Say No to Plastic

Indsearch has always advocated and implemented environment friendly initiatives. Say No to Plastic drive was implemented with same enthusiasm and energy at the institute.

There is an increasing awareness towards banning single use disposable plastic world over. Although use of plastic cannot be completely eliminated or stopped banning single use plastic surely helps in reducing plastic waste that is generated.

In accordance to this at Indsearch Say No to Plastic initiative was launched. There was a poster competition conducted to launch the drive. The themes given for the poster competition were –

  1. Say no to plastic
  2. Green environment
  3. Alternatives to plastic

Both MBA senior as well as junior batches participated in this competition with great enthusiasm. The batches were divided into groups of 5 to 6 members each. White poster sheets were provided by the institute while students brought their own colors. Foyer at Bavdhan campus was abuzz with activity and colors. The themes were colorfully depicted with the help of crayons, water colors and black and white pencil shading and even leaves, twigs and post-it sticky notes were used to convey the message. It was a great pleasure to see creativity flowing for such a good cause.

Two teams per batch were declared as winners. The criteria for selecting winning entries were clear concept presentation of themes, creativity and hashtag (which is conveying accurate message through minimum use of words). Prize distribution ceremony was held for the competition on Thursday 19th of September 2019. Winning teams were felicitated by Director General of Indsearch Dr. Ashok Joshi sir and Director Dr. Aparna Tembulkar mam.

Winning entries were also displayed on the foyer notice board and participant entries made their way on first floor notice board.

This initiative was followed by placing cardboard boxes in the foyer to collect plastic waste. Students and faculty alike are informed regarding placing of these boxes. We will soon be getting in touch with NGOs involved in collecting and reusing disposable plastic.

The drive say no to plastic has been successfully launched at Indsearch and soon it will be a way of life for all those who are involved. As we truly need to embrace environment friendly alternatives to plastic this drive will hopefully lead to a change in lifestyle as well as in approach towards protecting environment and promoting green earth in budding managers of tomorrow.
