Cleanliness Awareness Drive in the slums

A cleanliness awareness drive by NSS students of Indian Institute of Cost and Management Studies & Research (IndSearch) was conducted in association with Jagruti Seva Sanstha in the slum areas of Janwadi, Gokhale Nagar on 9th August 2019.

As a part of the drive, the students performed a street play which grabbed everyone’s attention and was successful in creating awareness about cleanliness. The kids from the school run by Jagruti Seva Santha were also made aware of importance of cleanliness. The people in the locality even shared their problems with the students.

Mangala Tai of Jagruti Seva Sanstha briefed the NSS students about the different activities that the NGO undertakes. Prof. Manjari Lal, Prof. Ekta Salunkhe, Prof. Amey Tawde, Prof. Nilaya Murthy of IndSearch accompanied and motivated the students.
