BMS students Industrial Visit
An Industrial visit to Lear Automotive India Pvt Ltd, Chakan was conducted by IndSearch on Saturday, 24th September 2016 for the BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies) students. Lear is a company having its branches across 36 countries in the continents like India, Malaysia, Germany, South Africa, etc. Its headquarters is situated in Michigan, US. The Lear corporation has many customers like Audi, Mercedes, BMW, Honda, Volkswagen, Tata, General Motors, Mahindra n Mahindra, to name a few. It is into manufacturing of seat sets and recliners and E-systems for the mentioned companies, across the world.
The students were briefed about the company i.e. its products manufactured, the hierarchical structure of management, its training programs, motivational tactics, and the outstanding social objectives of the company. The students were then taken around the factory, in two groups. All the manufacturing processes were shown and explained in detail. Each student was amazed by the kind of technology and strict discipline followed in the factory.
There was a lot learnt from this industrial visit in all fields of management. The values of the company like integrity, diversity, honesty and customer priority have been inculcated in the students, and have inspired them to gear up for their careers.
