Mumbai Alumni Meet 2010 – 31st July 2010
The Mumbai Alumni Meet was held on the 31st of July 2010 at the Mumbai Police Gymkhana, Marine Drive, Mumbai- 400002, at 4:30 pm.
Prof. Rohan Sachdeo welcomed all the alumni members.
The meet commenced with opening remarks by our Director, Dr. Ashok Joshi. He urged the alumni to connect more frequently with their alma mater and also explained to them how such meets could help them for their own networking purposes. He said that as a part of the IndSearch family all of us have to go beyond the ordinary and do whatever it takes to increase the brand awareness for IndSearch.
Our Alumnus (Ph.D. – 2003) Dr. Sadanand Date who has been recently promoted to the post of Special Inspector General of Police, Maharashtra State and who heads Force One, was felicitated . Speaking on the occasion Dr. Date said that to increase the alumni network, we could make use of social networking sites to connect with the alumni and use search engines for getting updated alumni details.
Ms. Rinita Laskar (Alumnus MPM- 2003-05) currently Assistant Manager – HR. at M/s Emerson, shared her experiences when she was at IndSearch and how the grooming she received at IndSearch has helped her to become a successful professional today..
Mr. Manoj Parte, (Alumnus MMM -2003-05) Head – Marketing & Operations at Small Town Boy Productions explained about various career avenues open for students of the Marketing stream in the area of film marketing. He mentioned that being an unexplored area it had a plethora of options for students wanting to pursue a career in that line.
Mr. Shivanand Kokate, (Alumnus MMM – 2006-08) Co-founder M/s Offers Cloud shared some great moments in his journey from IndSearch days to his present position. He also explained the concept of his new venture M/s Offers Cloud.
Mr. Ravi Kashelkar, (Alumnus MPM -1996-98) Manager, HR, at Alcatel Lucent Network Management Services (I) Ltd, mentioned that he was reconnecting with the Institute after almost twelve years. He said that he would want to connect in more ways with the Institute and appreciated the effort to have an Alumni Meet in Mumbai.
