IndSearch was established in 1973 by a group of academicians and management professionals from the corporate sector as an Institution devoted to teaching, training, consultancy and research in Management and Information Technology. The Institute has also been recognized as an educational and research organization by the Govt. of Maharashtra and as an Advanced Centre for Doctoral Studies by the University of Pune to which it is affiliated.

IndSearch stands poised on the threshold of a new global beginning with 'Autonomy' conferred in July 2007 by the University Grants Commission, Government of India, New Delhi and the University of Pune. Autonomy brings in an enriched learning experience with the freedom to introduce need-based programs and enhance the syllabi of the existing programs on a concurrent base. The degrees for all the courses offered by IndSearch will continue to be given by the University of Pune enabling IndSearch to combine the best of both worlds i.e. cutting-edge education built on the strong foundations of a respected university.

IndSearch offers Masters Degree course in Business Administration (MBA) in vital disciplines of Information Technology (IT), Human Resource Management (HRM) and Marketing Management. The degree programmes follow a trimester pattern and have a credit and grading system, which is at par with global standards. These degrees will be awarded by the University of Pune. These programmes look forward to providing the students with an enriched learning experience to help them grow and prosper in their professional careers. Learning at IndSearch focuses on creating change masters who can take on the challenge of diverse demands of business, industry and society.

Our approach to teaching learning has a clear business focus that encourages team working and the evolution of socially conscious thought-leaders. The teaching learning pedagogy has innovative modules like Integrative Experiential Case Learning (IECL), courses on Leadership Exploration and Development, skills on International languages delivered under the IndSearch Centre for International Communication (ICIC). These courses enrich the curriculum and the teaching learning process with inputs on contemporary issues of concern. Students at IndSearch are also sensitized with issues of social concern such as Communal Harmony, Environmental Awareness, conditions of work and livelihood in the Unorganized sector and Ethics.

IndSearch encourages proactive learning among its students. Self-organized small group activities, ranging from case discussions and field studies to industry analysis and projects, help our students link a strong theoretical foundation to workplace realities. Through these initiatives, we aim to develop:

National and International Networking

IndSearch – University of Wisconsin-Parkside agreement operationalized with Professor Suresh Chalasani’s visit.

Under the Agreement of Educational Cooperation between University of Wisconsin-Parkside, USA and IndSearch, Pune, Dr. Suresh Chalasani who is Associate Professor of Management Information Systems at University of Wisconsin-Parkside visited IndSearch and conducted a weeklong exhaustive module consisting of 25 hours on Technology Management in Turbulent Times at IndSearch, Pune between the 20th July 2009 and 25th July 2009 for the MBA (Information Technology) students.

This course deliberated on the synergy existing between the introduction of technologies into an organization and the shift in management strategy and decision making that is essential to receive full value from the technology investment. The module also stressed on, MIS management which is generally responsible for the technology acquisition and operating decisions, functional management which needs to understand the application, impact, and value of the various technologies to their operating units. The course included contemporary topics that look at managerial, organizational, strategic aspects of technology.


IndSearch Director, Dr. Ashok Joshi visit to UWP

(IndSearch – University of Wisconsin-Parkside, Student Exchange Program operationalized.)

On May 19, 2010 Dr. Ashok Joshi, Director of IndSearch, Pune, and Dr. Sunita Joshi, Associate Dean EC & IRC of IndSearch, Pune visited the University of Wisconsin-Parkside (UW-P). Mr. Sunil Mali of HSBC Chicago and Ms. Glenda Klein, Consultant, Mentoring & Counseling at Chicago were also with Dr. Ashok Joshi and Dr. Sunita Joshi. Dr. Fred Ebeid, Dean of School of Business and Technology at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and Dr. Ashok Joshi held extensive discussions about the student Exchange program involving the University of Wisconsin-Parkside students at IndSearch next year (2011).

Five Students of IndSearch Ketan Patil, Ashlesha Pawar, Rajashree Machikar, Sadanand Ranbhor, Abhishek Deshmukh are selected for summer course under the exchange program. All the students are very enthusiastic and are enjoying learning at UW-P.

On May 20, 2010 Dr. Ashok Joshi and Dr. Sunita Joshi had a luncheon Meeting with Chancellor Deborah Ford, Associate Provost Dennis Rome, Dean Fred Ebeid, Associate Dean Dirk Baldwin, Prof. Suresh Chalasani, Prof. Stu Hansen, Prof. Farida Khan and Prof. Roby Rajan.
