It draws warmth from the glow of the minds it has enlightened, batch after batch, in a quaint, sleepy city of Pune for more than 30 years. Pioneering Management Education in Pune, IndSearch, established in 1973 by a group of conscientious academicians, corporate executives and management professionals, has completed an eventful 38 years of contribution to value based Management Education, Research, Training and Consultancy.
The Institute has today grown to become a leading centre of Professional Management Education and Research in the vital disciplines of Management of Information Technology (IT), Human Resources Management (HRM), Finance, Marketing Management and Environmental Management.
Authentic Recognition
IndSearch has earned permanent recognition from the University of Pune as an Institute for Post-graduate and Doctoral Studies in Management Faculty and has received the autonomous status granted by the University Grants Commission. The Government of Maharashtra has granted recognition to IndSearch as an educational and research Institute. IndSearch MBA programmes have been recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
The Institute has special concern for the application of management techniques to problems of socio-economic development. In its first two decades, IndSearch completed a number of sponsored studies on behalf of government agencies and reputed organizations like the Planning Commission, Government of Maharashtra, Indian Council for Agriculture Research (ICAR), International Confederation of Free Trade Unions (ICFTU), Brussels, Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV), the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) and UNICEF.

Autonomy
IndSearch has been conferred ‘Autonomy’ in July 2007 by the University Grants Commission as well as the University of Pune, on the recommendation of a high-powered expert committee appointed by the UGC.
This autonomy has been conferred in recognition of the high standards maintained in providing quality education at IndSearch. IndSearch is one of the few B-Schools in the state of Maharashtra to have achieved this status. Out of a total of 220 national institutions, less than five B-Schools have been conferred Autonomy within the University fold and now IndSearch is one of those few to have achieved this status. This is a major recognition of the contribution of IndSearch to management education and research.
The Autonomous Status now allows IndSearch to update the syllabi of various courses regularly, which, in turn, enhances the quality of education offered by it. Autonomy enables IndSearch to respond quickly to the needs of the industry as well as the student community. The Institute can also attract meritorious students from all over the country. Timely conduct of examination and declaration of results soon after the examination is over can also be ensured. The new status has bestowed greater social responsibility to the Institute.
Degrees and diplomas for all the courses offered by IndSearch will continue to be given by the University of Pune. Autonomy means the autonomy to update course content and evaluation systems. The Course Credentials, Degrees and Diplomas, continue to be conferred on students by the University of Pune. This enables IndSearch to combine the best of both advantages i.e. cutting-edge education built on the strong foundations of a respected university. |
